Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer for S6G Power Plant, you will provide design support for the fluid and mechanical systems for the LOS ANGELES Class fleet. You will work closely with the Reactor Plant Contractors Office (RPCO), solve problems, and respond to Naval Messages directly back to Ship's Force. You will also develop improvements to the reactor plant operating and casualty procedures.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or a science-related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. You will need to have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience with design and analysis software.

Pay Range

$62, $94,900.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
