As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal physical function and enhance the quality of life for children facing various diagnoses and health challenges.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and refer clients to specialists when necessary.
- Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice and state standards.
- Develop treatment plans for each client, collaborating with other team members and required patient and caregiver involvement.
- Document client progress according to approved medical documentation and agency documentation procedures.
- Evaluate mobility, strength, and current level of client function, setting goals to improve in these areas.
- Report client progress to caregivers, agency staff, and healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of clients.
- Proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and implementing these plans safely and effectively.
- Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of responsible use of facility equipment and best practices for equipment.
- Experience with recommending assistive equipment to clients or home health follow-up programs.
- Experience with a wide range of injuries.
