Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our team. As a key member of our squad, you will be responsible for implementing test automation and executing manual testing to ensure the highest quality of our applications.

In this role, you will work closely with our squad leads and team members to promote testing practices, implement test automation, and execute testing in support of technology-based initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites to assess product quality and release readiness
  • Conduct manual testing to identify and report defects
  • Train squads on test management best practices
  • Collaborate with the team to improve test coverage and overall application health

The Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining automated test suites
  • Conducting manual testing
  • Training squads on test management
  • Collaborating with the team to improve test coverage and overall application health
The Expertise You Have:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 5+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software
  • 4+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Testing process and automation experience
  • Financial services and agile experience preferred
The Skills You Bring:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Hands-on experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like JUnit, Cucumber, Fitnesse
  • Intermediate Java skills
  • Good understanding of web services testing
  • SQL skills is a must
  • Data analysis and technical troubleshooting

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
