The CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans of patients in accordance with established medical imaging protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of CT scanning principles and techniques, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients
- Position patients correctly and safely for scanning
- Adjust scanner settings to optimize image quality
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
- Assist with invasive procedures as needed
- Monitor and record patient data
- Stay up-to-date with the latest CT scanning technologies and techniques
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification
- Registered Computerized Tomography Technician certification
- High School Graduate or equivalent
