Position Purpose
  • Establish and nurture relationships with new customers while maintaining connections with existing clientele.
  • Oversee store inventory and presentation through effective stocking, merchandising, and maintenance.
  • Conduct basic racquet preparation and maintenance tasks, including stringing services.

  • Welcome customers warmly and provide exceptional hospitality throughout their shopping experience.
  • Assist customers comprehensively in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of company policies, products, and services.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, aiming to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure store inventory and appearance are well-maintained through proactive stocking and cleaning.
  • Support team members during peak times and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Engage in continuous learning to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Utilize available resources to address product inquiries effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to resolve customer issues.
  • Perform additional duties as required for the smooth operation of the store.
  • Participate in training sessions and provide feedback on products for website use.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Passion and knowledge of tennis, pickleball, or running are advantageous.
  • Experience with racquet stringing is a plus.
  • Ability to listen attentively to customers and provide friendly service.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to support team efforts across the store.
  • Ability to take direction and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Recognize when to seek assistance.
  • Work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Exhibit pride in work and represent Sports Warehouse positively.
Work Environment

This position operates within a typical retail setting, requiring frequent interactions with customers and staff. Daily tasks involve using technology such as tablets, computers, and cash registers. Additionally, the role may require the use of racquet stringing machines and related tools.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly handle objects, type on computers, and use various retail technologies.
  • Communicate effectively to exchange information accurately.
  • Observe details at close range.
  • Stand for extended periods and move throughout the store.
  • Utilize hands and arms for racquet stringing tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
