Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Technician to provide field service for our customers' truck-mounted equipment. This role involves working independently in various environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field repairs and diagnostics on articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers, utilizing sound judgment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and annual inspections in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and troubleshooting needs, available during both standard and non-standard hours.
  • Effectively communicate mechanical issues and repair needs to site and fleet managers.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including estimates, work orders, parts ordering, and inventory records.
  • Adhere to all state and federal safety regulations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle and job site.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and welding skills, with proficiency in troubleshooting diagnostics.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift over 75 lbs for extended periods.
  • A minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience, particularly with articulating cranes and forklifts.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Possession of a valid CDL driver's license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Personal tools required; PALFINGER proprietary tools will be supplied.
