School Age Child Care Site Director

The YMCA of Frederick County is seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Age Child Care Site Director to lead our Before and After School Enrichment program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall direction and supervision of the program, including staffing, programming, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities- Personnel Management: Maintain stable, high-quality staffing that complies with licensing regulations and ensures strong leadership and creative programming at all sites.
- Fiscal Management: Adhere to annual site budget guidelines and monitor and review site revenue and expenses to ensure they meet budgeted guidelines.
- Program Management: Ensure high-quality programming that is compliant with MSDE guidelines and provides a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all participants and staff.
- Administrative: Perform all administrative functions related to the BASE department and site operations, including attending staff meetings, conducting regular staff meetings, and performing administrative duties such as paycom duties and licensing paperwork.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must hold a high school diploma or GED, or completed at least 2 college courses for credit.
- Must have the following approved training and experience:
- 6 Semester hours or 90 clock hours of approved training, 45 hours of which must be in Child Development and 45 in Curriculum.
- 400 hours of experience in a school-age environment, OR 1 year caring for school-age children in a registered family child care.
- 9 clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public, or equivalent.
- 3 hours of approved training in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Within 6 months of date of hire, complete a regulation training conducted by MSDE.
