  • Negotiate payment plans with clients, assessing their capacity and willingness to settle debts.
  • Accurately relay information to clients while navigating various systems and screens.
  • Document all collection activities for each account in compliance with standard procedures, utilizing appropriate codes and notes.
  • Communicate collection progress to relevant branch personnel as required.
  • Request updated credit reports or initiate skip tracing as necessary.
  • Process account extensions following established policy guidelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with the collections supervisor regarding problematic accounts.
  • Ensure thorough handling of all delinquent accounts according to standardized collection practices.
  • Send appropriate correspondence to debtors as needed.
  • Facilitate customer payments through electronic means when applicable.
  • Perform account maintenance tasks in line with established protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Stable employment history.
  • 2-3 years of recent experience in collections, preferably in a call center environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Auto, Mortgage, or Credit Card Collections (minimum of 2 years).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as required.
