Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical care to detainees, including routine check-ups, emergency care, and specialized services as needed.
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical exams, laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging studies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique medical needs of each detainee.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care and patient satisfaction.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the United States.
- Must have a minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Must be certified by a recognized professional organization, such as the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (APRN).
- Must have a strong understanding of public health principles and practices.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in correctional healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of public health preparedness, infection control, and TB management.
- ACLS certification.
- DEA Buprenorphine X Waiver certification.
