Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are looking for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a surgical environment.
Role Responsibilities
The Staff RN will report directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, while also collaborating with the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care within the peri-operative context, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
The Registered Nurse will coordinate patient care with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, while also directing and guiding the OR Technician and other personnel. Maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice is essential. Collaboration with various departments is crucial to ensure a seamless continuum of care, efficient patient flow, and the organization and maintenance of the unit.
Compliance and Improvement
The RN will ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Participation in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and in-service training is expected. The RN will also serve as a resource for other staff members as needed.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Valid and current state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
- ACLS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
- PALS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
- A minimum of one year of previous perioperative experience or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Certification as a Nurse OR (CNOR) is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
