Material Handler

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Sycamore, Illinois. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for processing customer orders, operating a powered industrial truck, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

• Accurately process customer orders into shipments using bar-code equipment
• Operate a powered industrial truck to move and store material as required
• Load and unload trucks, receive inventory, and validate quantities against purchase orders
• Stock shelves with material, set up and run Print and Apply machinery, and generate DOT required documentation
• Packaging of freight shipments to prevent product damage, including shrink wrap, banding, and proper carton stacking techniques

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months of experience working in a warehouse is desired
• Ability to follow verbal and written multi-step directions for semi-complex tasks
• Visual acuity and hand dexterity to package and assemble a variety of materials
• Able to work effectively in a team environment

Our warehouse operates in a fast-paced environment with hot and cold temperatures based on seasonal variations. You will be required to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods, frequently squat, reach, and bend. Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.
