**Job Description**

Located in Fremont, Ohio, ProMedica Memorial Hospital has served the citizens of Sandusky County and the adjacent communities since its inception. Our hospital was built with funds raised by members of our community on land donated by the family of former United States President, Rutherford B. Hayes.

**Our Security Department**

Our Security Department, under general supervision, maintains the security of hospital property to ensure the safety of employees, patients, and visitors against fire, theft, and physical harm. We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Maintain the security of hospital property and ensure the safety of employees, patients, and visitors

• Respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and effective manner

• Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy

• Maintain accurate records and reports of security incidents and activities

**Requirements**

• Associate's degree in security or a related field; or two years of experience in security or a related field

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

• Ability to lift and move medium-weight materials or objects

• Physical fitness to perform the duties of the job

**Certifications and Training**

• Basic Security Officer Certification through IAHSS within six months of appointment
