The application solutions encompass a combination of software, hardware, and biological components designed for specific applications, often involving collaboration with third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the Liquid Handling automation sector, offering specialized application insights to enhance customer trust during both pre-sales and post-sales interactions.
- Guide sales representatives in emphasizing customer applications over mere product features through ongoing coaching and educational initiatives.
- Gather and report market insights on trending applications as observed by clients.
- Oversee the complete application sales process, including pre-sale support, application assessment, solution design, instrument demonstrations, installation, and advanced post-sale assistance.
- Maintain an updated database of local Liquid Handling platform clients for distribution to sales personnel as required.
- Provide application training and support to service team members.
- Collaborate directly with Liquid Handling applications and product management to ensure effective communication of field and customer feedback.
- Participate in marketing and sales meetings at Tecan locations when necessary.
- Collect and share current competitive and market intelligence with the sales team, marketing, and manufacturing departments.
- Engage in marketing efforts, including planning trade shows, selecting collaboration partners, reviewing website content, and critiquing promotional materials.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of application data into the CRM system.
- Willingness to travel frequently, often on short notice.
- Adhere to company travel and expense policies.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and adapt positively to change.
- Support the Quality System and Quality Policy by following established procedures and maintaining records to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Observe all local safety protocols and regulations, promptly reporting any safety issues.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in liquid handling and automation, acquired in either academic or industry settings, including proficiency in writing automation applications.
- Familiarity with VBScript, VBA, and .NET programming.
- Experience with various molecular biology techniques, including NGS sample preparation, nucleic acid purification, quantification, and PCR/qPCR setup.
- Proven experience with automated instrumentation is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Practical knowledge of Windows applications.
