About the UnitThe HICU is a 20-bed unit that can accommodate up to 40 patients. Our staff members are outgoing and positive, utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assume leadership roles as needed, including charge nurse responsibilities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current LPN license in the state of Maryland.
- AHA BLS CPR certification.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
