Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully comply with all safety protocols and procedures
  • Perform loading, case picking, VNA, and receiving functions according to established SOPs
  • Provide support to dock personnel as needed
  • Operate stretch wrappers, forklifts, dock equipment, and battery changers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Verify accuracy of product quantities on load tags
  • Safely secure cases onto pallets to ensure product integrity during transit
  • Accurately receive, label, and perform basic tasks within our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through efficient use of WMS, YMS, and Infolink systems
  • Participate in shift change briefings with prior shift personnel
  • Identify and report any equipment issues to leadership
  • Ensure assigned areas and work floor remain clean and organized

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience as a forklift operator is desirable
  • Prior experience in manufacturing is also desirable

Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to adapt to changing work environments
  • Able to learn and apply new skills efficiently
  • Collaborative team player with a focus on achieving departmental goals

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting: Heavy (over 70 lbs.) frequently
  • Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 6 hours)
  • Sitting: Long periods (a minimum of 6 hours)
  • Walking: Constantly
  • Able to climb frequently
  • Bending: Frequently
  • Able to work with arms outstretched to the front
  • Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs. without assistance frequently

Performance Standards:

  • Comply with company performance criteria and employment procedures
  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and GMP dress code standards
  • Communicate absences and tardiness according to company policies

SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to food safety and quality regulations
  • Maintain a sanitary work area
  • Report food safety concerns to personnel with authority

Site Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to become certified in forklift operation
  • Ability to work in a cold warehouse environment

Environmental Concerns:

  • Exposure to ingredients used in food production
  • Exposure to chemicals involved in sanitation processes
