Case Management Registered Nurse

Position Overview
The Case Management Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing and coordinating patient care to ensure seamless transitions, optimal health outcomes, and high levels of patient satisfaction while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adherence to regulations.
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the Director of Case Management.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred for this position.
Essential Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the capability to operate independently. The role demands the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and respond appropriately to challenges.
Regulatory Knowledge
Familiarity with federal and state regulations concerning CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and various reimbursement models is essential.
Proficiency in computer systems for data entry, collection, analysis, and reporting is required.
Understanding of coding standards is also necessary.
Licensure and Certification
The candidate must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or possess compact licensure that includes Virginia, and must be in good standing with the relevant Board.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
