About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Primary Care team at Thrive Pet Healthcare Round Rock. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets and their owners.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, adhering to state Veterinary Practice Act guidelines.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
Requirements
  • Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
