Position Overview:

Nuvance Health is seeking dedicated and skilled Nocturnal Surgical Physician Assistants to join our esteemed Surgical PA Service. This role is essential in providing exceptional care to surgical inpatients during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage surgical floor patients and perform inpatient consults.
  • Assist in admissions and procedures within the Intensive Care Unit.
  • Provide coverage for emergency surgical cases in the operating room.
  • Participate in O.R. first assisting and support central line placements.
Schedule:

This full-time position requires night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including one weekend shift per month. Our team fosters a collaborative environment with extensive onboarding and training opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification.
  • Strong surgical and patient management experience is essential.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Current New York State Physician Assistant license is mandatory.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least one year of surgical experience; however, new graduates and nurse practitioners with relevant experience will also be considered.
