We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at McWane. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for operating the automatic assembly machine to assemble couplings in a timely and efficient manner that meet the quality standards to ensure the delivery of world-class products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Adjustments: Coordinate production changes and request maintenance for the machines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform general maintenance of automated assembly equipment and its supporting equipment.
- Tool Operation: Use hand tools, including allen-wrenches, and other tools as required.
- Material Loading: Load shield material and clamps into the machine and visually observe and control the flow of all component parts into designated stations.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and clear all equipment faults via the Siemens HMI.
- Production and Quality: Responsible for production, quality of product, and documentation of daily numbers.
- Housekeeping: Keep the area and equipment clean and orderly at all times.
- Quality Control: Verify the quality of the couplings during production, in intervals of 15-30 minutes.
- Supervision: Follow supervisors' instructions at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
- Flexibility: Must be flexible and self-motivated.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required.
- Mechanical Abilities: Must have mechanical abilities and good manual dexterity.
- Teamwork: Work independently and as a team player.
- Direction Following: Ability to follow directions.
- Work Environment: Ability to sit/stand for periods of up to 8 hours, repetitive grasping and gripping with hands, and regularly required to bend, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Education and Experience: Preferred high school or equivalent education and one year of related manufacturing experience; machine operator in metal stamping.
- Language Skills: Preferred a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
