Position Overview
Objective:
The primary responsibility is to manage and submit warranty claims to the manufacturer or distributor while ensuring accurate reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Timely processing of warranty claims for each franchise or distributor.
• Management of all warranty documentation to guarantee proper record-keeping.
• Verification of criteria set by the manufacturer or distributor.
• Reconciliation of all warranty receivables with payments according to the relevant accounting schedule.
• Posting credits into the system.
• Promptly resubmitting rejected claims or obtaining authorization for write-offs.
• Following up on outstanding claim payments.
• Tracking warranty parts by tagging them with repair order numbers, replacement dates, and disposal dates.
• Coordinating the shipment of parts to the manufacturer or distributor, or arranging for disposal.
• Filing and maintaining all service records as mandated by the warranty provider.
• Staying updated on all manufacturer recalls and bulletins.
• Assisting with body shop warranty claims as necessary.
• Supporting cashier and telephone operator duties as required.
• Providing clerical assistance as directed by the fixed operations manager or controller.
• Upholding a professional appearance and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
Compensation: $21 per hour
(The Claims Processing Specialist position includes a pay scale with a base hourly rate of $21.)
Qualifications:
• To succeed in this role, an individual must effectively perform each essential duty.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Proficient in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Valid in-state driver's license is necessary.
• Professional personal appearance is expected.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities safely.
• All applicants must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, credit reports, and valid driver licenses.
