Pipeline Inspector

As a Project Inspector at Colonial Pipeline, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline system. This position requires a strong understanding of government regulations and industry standards related to pipeline, tanks, and terminals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide inspection and oversight of day-to-day activities on pipeline, facility, tank, and/or other projects with minimal guidance.
- Act as the interface with Colonial's contract workforce and enforce contractor adherence to company standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Serve as the safety representative on job sites and assume responsibility and accountability for the safety of the workforce.
- Complete documentation accurately within required timelines and ensure that all project and compliance records are accurate, complete, and properly submitted.
- Confirm that materials are compliant with Colonial material specifications and engineering standards and inspect materials for suitability prior to use.
- Engage project stakeholders as appropriate, ensuring that concerns, issues, project activities, and updates are communicated in a timely, clear, organized, proactive, and consistent manner.
- Maintain required HAZWOPER and ICS training certification and respond to incidents as directed.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Strong knowledge of government regulations and Industry recommended practices and standards related to pipeline, tanks, and terminals.
- Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company's core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
- Excavation Competent Person training and certification.
Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.
