Program Overview:

The Crisis Residential Treatment programs offer short-term, crisis intervention services for adults. Our services aim to assist clients experiencing acute psychiatric distress in avoiding hospitalization, emergency interventions, and incarceration. We strive to help them regain stability in a supportive, home-like setting while working towards their long-term recovery objectives and establishing connections with stable housing and ongoing treatment.

Shifts Available:

Full Time; DAYS: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Friday (Temporary Position)

Compensation:

The anticipated starting wage range is competitive and varies based on geographic location and relevant experience.

Role Summary:

In this entry-level management role, under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director or Administrator, the Peer Recovery Team Lead will oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinate service requirements, and collaborate with various services and agencies. The Peer Recovery Team Lead will conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of services for new members.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Certified Peer Specialist and/or completion of Peer Support Training
  • Three years of experience or part-time equivalent in supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system
  • Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training
  • Ability to meet state registration requirements as an Agency Affiliated Counselor within a specified timeframe
  • Sensitivity to multicultural populations and issues
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification required
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are mandatory

Preferred:

  • Completion of leadership courses
  • Bilingual skills
  • Bicultural background or experience
  • Increased levels of responsibility within a peer role

Essential Functions:

  • Exemplifies Telecare's mission, values, and beliefs in interactions with stakeholders
  • Engages and inspires members to explore and achieve their recovery goals
  • Responds effectively to critical situations with de-escalation skills
  • Organizes team meetings to coordinate tasks and workflow
  • Ensures peer service deliverables are met or exceeded
  • Maintains accurate records and safeguards client confidentiality
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners
  • Provides on-site recovery and peer support skill coaching
  • Monitors team performance and attendance
  • Travels locally for outreach to members served

Skills:

  • Knowledge of recovery-focused, strengths-based practices in mental health/addiction recovery
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Experience working with adults facing mental health/addiction challenges
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing, twisting, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as frequent sitting, walking, and reaching.
