Job Summary

This is a skilled position involving control and operation of multiple types of asphalt equipment and labor duties. The Asphalt Plant Laborer position involves various manual tasks, and safely performs a variety of duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Grease and adjust plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Material Handling: Unload AC tankers and transport materials to designated areas.
  • Quality Control: Pull oil/asphalt and cold feed samples to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Temperature Monitoring: Collect shot temperatures to monitor and control the asphalt production process.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate skid steer/man lift to perform various tasks.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform general upkeep of the plant area, including cleaning and organization.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Assist in performing maintenance and minor repairs on the plant equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience and/or training in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of road construction experience.
