Overview
The School of Technology & Professional Services Management is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor to deliver instruction in the Paralegal Studies Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee designated courses, typically two hybrid courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis during the fall semester, and one hybrid course during the winter semester.
- Foster a constructive learning atmosphere.
- Develop and submit course outlines, instructional materials, assignments, and evaluations as requested by the Paralegal Program Coordinator.
- Account for diverse learning needs when crafting and executing educational activities.
- Utilize suitable assessment methods to evaluate student achievement.
- Incorporate technology effectively to meet course objectives.
- Be available for student consultations outside of scheduled class times.
- Prepare and submit attendance logs, grades, and other necessary documentation in accordance with university timelines.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Paralegal Program Coordinator and faculty.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the education of paralegal students and the application of paralegal services.
- Show dedication to ongoing professional development through participation in activities aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness.
- Carry out related departmental responsibilities as needed.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Licensed attorney in good standing with a state bar.
- A minimum of four years of legal experience.
- Strong skills in writing, research, analysis, organization, communication, and problem-solving.
