Position Overview

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to enhance our professional team. We are redefining the field of radiology, making it an essential step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate MRI machines to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation, while also providing leadership and technical assistance to MRI operations, ensuring adherence to professional standards and exceptional customer service.

This role is a full-time evening position.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Imaging (80%):
  • Conduct routine and advanced MRI examinations on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes with minimal supervision.
  • Screen patients prior to procedures for any potential risks or contraindications.
  • Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as necessary to optimize image quality.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and their families.
  • Adhere strictly to physicians' directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all parties involved.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment to promote safety for patients and staff.
  • Manage ACR toolkit and uphold accreditation standards.
Department Support (15%):
  • Ensure MRI equipment is well-maintained and sanitized after each use.
  • Assist in keeping the MRI protocol manual updated and support software enhancements.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory.
  • Support the training of new staff by providing guidance and technical knowledge.
Additional Duties (5%):
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • ARRT registered technologist, in good standing.
  • ARRT advanced MR certification.
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved radiography program.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience and training sufficient to independently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures.
