HVAC Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Embassy Suites Charlotte. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our hotel's HVAC and refrigerant units.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, including boilers, chillers, and air handling units/controls.
  • Perform minor plumbing and mechanical works for HVAC systems and equipment as required.
  • Monitor and inspect HVAC plant/equipment, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions and ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Maintain a safe and clean engineering area and coordinate with other engineering staff for smooth operation.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of HVAC experience.
  • Minimum technical, trade, or vocational certificate/diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC certification required.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:

Employees in this position work both indoors and outdoors. To perform the job successfully, the candidate must be able to see differences between colors, shades, and brightness, hear sounds and recognize the difference between them, focus on one source of sound and ignore others, use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects, make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls, determine the distance between objects, adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects.

Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read, and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
