Job Title: Azure SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Azure SQL Database Administrator to join our team at Addison Group. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure SQL databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain Azure SQL databases to meet business requirements.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Security: Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and query optimization.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL DBA with a strong focus on Azure SQL Database management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server, NoSQL, Azure SQL Database, and T-SQL. Experience with PowerShell scripting and Azure Data Factory is a plus.
  • Performance Tuning: Proven expertise in performance tuning, index management, and query optimization.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
