Job Summary

Amazing Explorers Academy of Windermere is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for implementing curriculum, supervising children, and maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Management: Ensure the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom are maintained at all times.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.
  • Communication: Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent-teacher conferences as requested.
  • Instructional Planning: Prepare and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules that meet the needs of our students.
  • Child Development: Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise, and provide guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Classroom Environment: Ensure that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.
  • Team Collaboration: Direct the activities of other staff members in the classroom to ensure a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Parent Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and maintain developmental profiles for each child.
  • Medication Administration: Ensure that the classroom medication schedule is followed at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: Must possess a CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education with 45 hours of training in Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
  • Experience: Must have at least 21 years of age and have classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility.
  • Personal Qualities: Must have a pleasant and friendly demeanor, an outgoing personality, and be highly professional and dependable.
