We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) organization at a leading pharmaceutical client based in Andover, MA. As a key member of our upstream cell culture and fermentation team, you will play a critical role in supporting late-stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute well-planned lab experiments in cell culture and/or fermentation to achieve pre-defined goals.
  • Operate and maintain benchtop bioreactors and associated analytical tools, ensuring seamless data acquisition and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to document results and present findings, driving process improvements and second-generation process development.
  • Assist in manufacturing investigations and process troubleshooting, leveraging expertise in cell culture and fermentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with a strong background in chemistry or biology.
  • 5+ years of bioprocessing experience, with a focus on supporting manufacturing investigations and process development.
  • Lab-based or mammalian cell culture background, with proficiency in cell culture aseptic technique and bioreactor operation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience in supporting scale-up and technology transfer to pilot or commercial scale facilities.
  • Knowledge of control and data acquisition systems, with the ability to understand and adjust system settings.
