Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sheetmetal Technician to join our team at Gulfstream. As a Senior Sheetmetal Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing parts on aircraft, mentoring and training other technicians, and overseeing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use intricate schematics, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to fabricate and install parts on aircraft.
  • Mentor and train other Sheetmetal Technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Oversee projects and assess requirements for assigned tasks to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Form plastics and use adhesives and sealants according to standard procedures to ensure safe and efficient fabrication.
  • Operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, and shears to fabricate and install parts.
  • Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct monthly 5S audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Create parts demand and track squawks using the material tracking system to ensure accurate inventory management.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes to ensure high-quality results.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Valid driver's license required to travel to and from work sites.
  • Proficient in the English language to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure effective collaboration with team members and management.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden schedule changes to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Able to use tools and equipment associated with sheetmetal work to ensure safe and efficient fabrication.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift to ensure flexibility and adaptability.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and experience with MicroSoft Office suite to ensure effective communication and documentation.
Additional Information
