Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Full-Time Staff Pharmacist to become a vital member of our team at GRX Holdings, LLC.

In this role, you will operate under indirect supervision to deliver comprehensive patient care by accurately dispensing medications, advising patients, overseeing Pharmacy Technicians, and offering professional pharmaceutical services. You will ensure that all operations adhere to established professional standards and relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are typical for this position. This list is not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be assigned.

  • Interpret written prescriptions, verify potential drug interactions and allergies, input prescription and patient information into the computer system, and relay prescription details to Pharmacy Technicians for processing. Supervise Technicians and verify the accuracy of their work.
  • Assist patients through both phone and in-person consultations. Provide essential information regarding medication usage and duration. Address patient inquiries and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure optimal patient care and compliance with professional standards and state regulations.
  • Conduct daily inventory assessments. Order medications as required, ensuring sufficient stock levels without excessive overstocking.
  • Ensure accurate billing practices are followed when the pharmacist is on duty, in accordance with insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide patients to ensure they comprehend their treatment plans and that their health objectives are being achieved. Engage in face-to-face discussions regarding medical conditions and treatment alternatives, answering questions to promote understanding.
  • Maintain an active and unrestricted pharmacy license.
  • Stay proficient in all operational aspects of the pharmacy's computer systems and cash register.
  • Enhance store performance and profitability by managing operational costs and optimizing sales.
  • Exhibit regular and punctual attendance while fostering respectful and professional relationships with patients, customers, and colleagues.
  • Adhere to all security and loss prevention protocols, including alarm systems and safe handling.
  • Maintain an accurate schedule II inventory.
  • Process third-party claim rejections.
  • Compile daily and weekly reports.
  • In the event of dispensing errors, follow company protocols for notification and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted pharmacy license in the relevant state.
  • One to two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
