We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team at Elma Electronic Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective EHS programs to minimize risks and ensure a healthy working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create and implement comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Conduct Hazard Safety Analyses: Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Coordinate Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with plant managers and manufacturing teams to ensure a safe and effective response.
- Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform regular inspections of eye wash stations, ladder inspections, and other critical areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: Create and implement training programs for employees on EHS procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and Analyze Accident Reports: Review and analyze accident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with plant managers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of EHS programs.
- Sound Knowledge of OSHA and EPA Regulations: Possess a thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations and manufacturing safety programs.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees and business leaders at all levels.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions to EHS challenges.
- Project Management Skills: Possess project management skills and experience in implementing EHS programs.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety: Possess a degree in environmental health and safety or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Ergonomic Training: Possess ergonomic training and experience in implementing ergonomic programs.
- OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Training: Possess OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 training and certification.
