About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hematology/Oncology team at Children's Health Plano. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting open and transparent communication.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in Hematology/Oncology nursing.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of teamwork, respect, and compassion.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Hematology/Oncology nursing or a related field.
Licenses and Certifications: Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required. BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association required. PALS/NRP/ACLS certification required (department-specific requirements apply).
