Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Railcar Mechanic to join our team in Hastings, Minnesota. As a Railcar Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective or worn components on railcar equipment. This includes truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose malfunctions in railcar equipment
  • Repair and replace defective or worn components
  • Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Clean units and components
  • Ensure proper operation of railcar equipment

Requirements

  • Good work ethic and attention to detail
  • Experience with hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Previous mechanic experience desired
  • Familiarity with welding a plus
