If you are passionate about dynamic storytelling and enjoy creating engaging content across multiple platforms, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual, capable of managing live news events, thriving under pressure, and collaborating effectively with fellow content creators while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
This role demands quick turnaround capabilities for traditional broadcasts as well as digital platforms, including streaming applications and social media channels.
Familiarity with various transmission technologies, such as cellular backpack systems, microwave, and satellite news trucks, is essential.
Proficiency in non-linear editing software, such as Edius or similar, is required. You may also need to independently set up live broadcasts and complete other assignments as necessary. Strong writing skills are an added advantage.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in journalism or a related field is preferred.
- Experience as a photographer-editor in a medium to large market is preferred.
- Familiarity with newsroom computer systems is necessary.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
