Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Transportation Roadway Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Roadways team, you will have the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway and highway projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway and highway projects.
  • Perform complex engineering design tasks for highway projects per TxDOT design standards.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects.
  • Train junior level staff on design software packages for roadway 3D modeling.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures, and PSE plan production.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation.
  • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum.
  • TX PE license.
  • Minimum of 5 years highway/roadway design experience.
  • TxDOT Precertification preferred.
