About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Beebe Healthcare. As a critical care nurse practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care as a Center's Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner according to established protocols, policies, procedures, and accepted standards of care.
  • Partner with Attending physicians to provide 24/7/365 medical and surgical management for critical-care services.
  • Manage the comprehensive care of acutely and chronically critically ill or injured adult patients in collaboration with the intensivist physician on duty (or on-call).
  • Perform advanced skills of comprehensive airway management, invasive procedures, and selection, implementation, management, and titration of vasoactive drugs, insulin infusions, sedation, and analgesia.
Requirements
  • Completion of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program approved by the ANCC or AANP.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware and national board certification as an ANCP (ANCC or AANP).
  • Certificate of Authority by the Delaware Board of Nursing as a certified Nurse Practitioner Board of Nursing.
  • Valid prescriptive authority as issued by the Delaware Board of Nursing or State Medical Board of Delaware.
  • DEA license or eligibility to apply for DEA number and license.
  • Valid BLS and ACLS card upon hire.
  • Certification for FCSS and formal airway course required within 1 year of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospital medicine/surgery.
