Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for office visits by reviewing medical history, collecting vital signs, and documenting in the medical record.
  • Complete patient encounters and address care gaps according to established workflows and guidelines.
  • Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures and assist practitioners as needed.
  • Initiate interventions and document patient responses to treatment.
  • Participate in emergency care and educate patients on diagnostic studies and preparation materials.
  • Schedule appointments for patients with lab, radiology, or specialty consultations.
  • Monitor electronic messaging and emails related to patient or provider requests.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and initiatives.
  • Engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of care.
  • Resolve patient concerns promptly.
  • Provide departmental orientation and training to new team members.
  • Supervise unlicensed personnel in the delivery of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing (LPN/LVN) program.
  • Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum six (6) months of healthcare experience.
  • Customer service aptitude demonstrated through a Customer Service Assessment.
