About the Position

The Floor Technician is a key member of our team at Grand Living, responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance of all floor areas and sustaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This role is crucial in delivering on the level of service Grand Living promises to its residents and their family members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean and maintain all types of flooring in resident units and in all common areas, including back-of-house, stripping and waxing as required or assigned.
  • Handle all cleaning tasks in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of Resident satisfaction.
  • Work under the general guidance of the Director of Environmental Services in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures and practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Floor technician experience, preferred.
  • Cleaning experience, required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently to communicate with Residents, guests and fellow employees.
  • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in narrow and confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.
