Position Summary

We are seeking a Facility Operations Assistant to support our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to address service requests related to the upkeep of grounds, buildings, apartments, equipment, and vehicles efficiently.
  • Maintenance tasks may include: repairing wall and floor coverings; fixing furniture and fixtures; conducting basic plumbing tasks; executing minor electrical repairs; servicing appliances; and undertaking painting and refurbishment projects.
  • Support the implementation of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist with the maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Conduct maintenance on carpets and hard surface flooring.
  • Perform deep cleaning and prepare resident suites as assigned.
  • Assist with fire safety and disaster preparedness procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school education is preferred.
  • One year of experience in maintenance or housekeeping is preferred.
  • Basic technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance is essential.
  • Understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and life safety regulations is necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently is required.
