Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at Tri-Pac Inc. in South Bend, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and material handling equipment within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate set down forklift, standup forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Understand and complete all necessary functions of the inventory management bar code system related to the movement of material throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform work in various areas, including Receiving, Staging, General Warehouse, Line Supply, Shipping, Mezzanine, and Clean-Up.
  • Unload, identify, and count all incoming components (Receiving).
  • Correctly ticket and properly place components in the warehouse.
  • Move components from warehouse and/or shuttles to the desired area (Staging).
  • Supply all lines with the correct components and return all unused components to the warehouse.
  • Move palletized finished goods from the production area, receive shipping information, and properly load goods on trailers (Shipping).
  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years forklift experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to successfully pass both written and driving tests.
  • Self-organized and self-motivated.
  • Able to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach, and climb consistently for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations.
  • Ability to work overtime where necessary.
