Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, electrical work, and painting
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Make purchases for equipment repairs and ensure expenditures remain within established limits
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions
- Clean and lubricate machinery parts
- Fabricate and repair wooden structures, such as counters and benches
- Assist in establishing and maintaining safety policies and procedures
- Maintain work and storage areas in an organized fashion
- Perform preventive maintenance and painting tasks in individual rooms and common areas
- High school diploma or equivalent required; three to five years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and other employees
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts and proportions
- Ability to apply common sense to various issues that arise on a regular basis
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The work environment is typically moderate noise level, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
