Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is a critical member of our team at Wogan Group, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as the Maintenance Technician will be required to walk the property, lift heavy items, and perform a variety of physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and tenant units, as directed by the Community Manager.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure the longevity of our equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize and assign tasks to the maintenance staff.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service requests, inspections, and inventory management.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of maintenance personnel, as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a property management setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards may occur.
