We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist - Material Handling Equipment to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our operations.

Job Overview

In this role, you will assist experienced technicians with maintenance activities associated with material handling equipment (MHE) and industrial batteries. You will learn and gain knowledge of controls, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
  • Learn/gain knowledge of low voltage AC/DC systems, electrical controls, and PLC systems
  • Perform and maintain power MHE including preventive maintenance, oil level checks, belt and chain replacements, electrical control troubleshooting, motor and control replacements, safety checks, and PMs per manufacturer recommendations
  • Participate in special projects, such as moving furniture, changing lights, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs
  • Conduct battery maintenance duties, including charger repairs, battery changes, plug and tip repairs, watering, washing, acid spill clean-up, rack cleaning, sweeping, and equalizing charge on batteries
  • Log time and materials into the CMMS system daily
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of maintenance areas/work areas daily
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Tech school or equivalent experience preferred
  • Two years of experience in an MHE maintenance position preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • A valid state driver's license and proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards
Working Conditions

This role requires working non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. You may occasionally be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office for training or business continuation purposes.
