The Children's Mercy Kansas City Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician endocrinologist to join the faculty as a clinical educator and clinician. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in both endocrinology and diabetes, as well as a passion for teaching and mentoring.
About the Division:
The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is a multidisciplinary team of 30 pediatric endocrinologists, 7 fellows, 5 nurse practitioners, social workers, staff nurses, certified diabetes educators, care assistants, and clinical research coordinators. We provide outpatient care at 4 clinic locations in Kansas City, MO, and at two campuses in Wichita, KS, and Topeka, KS. Our team also provides pediatric endocrine care at several regional clinics in Kansas and Missouri.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents with endocrine disorders
- Teach and mentor pediatric residents and fellows in the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes
- Participate in multidisciplinary specialty clinics, including those for children with endocrine disorders associated with childhood cancer, 22Q11.2 Deletion, thyroid nodules, Turner Syndrome, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, gender dysphoria, metabolic syndrome/risk for type 2 diabetes, and disorders of sex differentiation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs for patients and families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Requirements:
- Fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology
- Board certification or eligibility in pediatric endocrinology
- Strong clinical and teaching skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
