Nurse Practitioner for Pulmonary Critical Care

Sentara Health is actively seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in critical care, trauma, or acute care environments to become a vital part of the Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine team at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a rotating schedule consisting of one week of night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, followed by one week off, then one week of day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, and another week off.
- Oversee a 16-bed critical care unit.
- Conduct admissions, perform initial evaluations and physical examinations, execute approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order laboratory tests, and prescribe necessary interventions and medications.
- Proficiency in respiratory intubation, central and arterial line placement, and ventilator management is highly valued.
- Be available for physician on-call duties around the clock.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
