Job Title: Medical Assistant

At Stride MD, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our endocrinology clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation: Greet patients, take vital signs, document medical history, and collect necessary information to ensure a smooth examination process.
  • Clinical Support: Assist physicians with procedures, blood draws, and other clinical tasks as needed, maintaining a clean and organized examination environment.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient information in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions and educational materials related to their diagnosis, treatment plans, and medications.
  • Appointment Coordination: Schedule follow-up appointments, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and manage patient referrals.
  • Laboratory Assistance: Perform routine lab tests, prepare specimens for lab analysis, and ensure timely processing of results.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to ensure the clinic is fully equipped.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to patient inquiries, follow up on lab results, and communicate with patients regarding their care plan under the supervision of the physician.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinic's healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years prior experience in a medical office is required. Experience in an endocrinology or specialty clinic is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in using EMR systems and basic computer applications. Experience with eClinicalWorks or Athena is preferred.
  • Compassion: A patient-centered approach with a commitment to providing high-quality care and excellent customer service.
  • Bilingual (Preferred): Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
