Job Summary

Browning Contractors Inc. is a leading underground construction company seeking an experienced industry leader to join our team as a Construction Foreman. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a crew of employees, prioritizing work, and ensuring projects are completed within established guidelines and time frames.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Lead a Crew: Direct and manage a team of employees to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Project Management: Read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines to apply necessary timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular tailgate safety meetings, enforce all company safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with client-required safety policies and procedures.
  • Operational Management: Organize, supervise, lead, and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
  • Administrative Tasks: Keep track of crew clock in/out times, document reasons for absences or tardiness, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling, and unloading of equipment, materials, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in underground construction, wet utilities.
  • Operator Experience: Experience as an operator or loader (Komatsu, John Deere, or similar equipment).
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Knowledgeable in City, County, and municipality requirements.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Drivers License (Required).
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk to and hear customers. The employee must occasionally lift to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception, and be able to look at, read, and use a computer, electronic devices, and phones for long periods of time.
