Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Associate to join our team at KSDT CPA. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for preparing federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership returns, as well as researching tax issues and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tax returns, including exercising professional judgment with respect to issue identification and development of solutions.
  • Research tax issues and legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Provide and maintain documentation to support tax return calculations.
  • Reconcile book to tax income and analyze depreciation to determine proper methodology for tax impact.
  • Make projections on future tax liabilities and provide recommendations as part of the tax planning process.
  • Interact with client personnel regarding tax return information and deadlines.
  • Look for opportunities to provide value-added services to clients.
  • Proactively participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with client management teams.
  • Provide insight and thought leadership on tax matters.

Qualifications:

  • One year of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Strong technology skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of UltraTax, Accounting CS, and QuickBooks a plus.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state tax compliance.
  • Team player with a customer service approach.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing educational requirements for CPA license.
