Position Responsibilities:


Provide professional nursing care and services for designated physician(s) or departments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Under the guidance of the physician(s), engage in health promotion, maintenance, and illness management.

Assist physicians with patient care and offer information to patients to ensure they fully benefit from clinic services.

Perform a variety of clinical tasks, including but not limited to:

monitoring patient flow, obtaining and documenting vital signs, recording current medications and chief complaints, conducting technical laboratory functions such as phlebotomy/EKG/stress testing, managing medical equipment, scheduling procedures and tests, and fulfilling medical scribe duties.


Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with current licensure in Ohio.

OR must be a high school graduate with Medical Assistant certification.

Ability to perform as a medical scribe is required.

Prior experience in a medical office or urgent care setting is preferred.

Current CPR certification is necessary.

Knowledge of the technical application of the nursing process is essential.

Critical thinking skills, including initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, are required.

A valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurability under Firelands' auto policy are mandatory. Proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage must be provided upon request.
